The 2010 NATIONAL ON-LINE CONCERTBAND EXHIBITION General Information
Your High School or Middle School Concert Band can enter a prestigious National CONCERT EVENT  and receive many educational benefits.  This is a great opportunity to SHOWCASE and PROMOTE your CONCERT BAND! Providing valuable educational growth and pride to the Band Director and his students, this Concert Band event provides an opportunity to demonstrate the exciting artistic medium of your concert band by combining new and innovative technology.  In addition, it offers an enhanced opportunity to perform for a large audience and, listen to many concert selections performed  by other bands for instructional ideas.
*** Receive EXPERT and CONSTRUCTIVE EVALUATION COMMENTS from NATIONALLY KNOWN ADJUDICATORS (presented only to the Band Director)  to reinforce your teaching and improve the musicianship of your students*** *** Receive PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS for your Band, School and Community*** ** All Bands will receive a beautiful engraved PLAQUE ** *5 High Schools and 5 Middle Schools highest scores receive an outstanding performance TROPHY* 3 High Schools and 3 Middle Schools highest scores will receive a quality new BAND INSTRUMENT Choose music and level of performance from 2 to 6 based on the ablility of the band, LIMITED to 10 minutes: 1 or 2 complete selections.  Ratings from Average to Superior will be awarded using the revised NATIONAL CONCERT BAND ADJUDICATION FORM The small $100 entry fee helps to cover event expenses, adjudicators and awards, and, includes 1 YEAR FREE MEMBERSHIP in the High School Band Directors National Association, the sponsor of the National High School Band Directors HALL of FAME. *** The Band Director will receive frequent helpful INSTRUCTIONAL AIDS to improve Concert Band preparation and performance, and, professional discounts from MANY MUSIC DEALERS will be made available by participating in this NATIONAL CONCERT BAND EXHIBITION*** There are NO TRAVEL EXPENSES You will receive simple and easy-to-follow instructions and procedures 1. Download  the Registration Form and return by Feb. 28, 2010 2. Record video of your Band selection and submit by Mar. 26, 2010   (1 video of 1 or 2 complete concert selections with maximum playing time of 10 minutes) 3. You will be instructed on how to upload your video to YouTube - It's SIMPLE and FREE 4. Submit 2 copies of conductors scores with numbered measures by Mar. 26, 2010 5. Your performance will be evaluated by nationally-known adjudicators * Constructive recorded and written comments are given only to the Band Director and scores WILL BE returned* Thousands of people actively participate or have participated in school concert bands. Never before have they had the opportunity to PARTICIPATE in a NATIONAL Concert Band event with NO TRAVEL necessary and LOW COST, EVALUATED by prominent NATIONALLY KNOWN ADJUDICATORS, receive PRESTIGIOUS AWARDS and PARTICIPATION BENEFITS, and,  be HEARD and SEEN performing CONCERT BAND MUSIC before a LARGE AUDIENCE.  Participation in this National On-line Concert Band Exhibition  makes this become a reality.
